On Tuesday, September 4th, the USO of Missouri became the first airport USO to have two USO installations when the ribbon was cut on the new East Terminal Satellite. The East Terminal Satellite was made possible by the founding donation of the Joan and Vern Wendt Family. Services offered at the USO East Terminal Satellite include Internet access, TV, snacks and reading material. The East Terminal Satellite is open Monday through Friday, during daytime hours.
On Saturday, August 18, 2007, Rocky the Therapy Dog made his first visit to the ASF Hospital at Scott Air Force Base. Rocky is owned by USO volunteer Kristen Rose and certified by Therapy Dogs International.
