The history of the
USO is one rich in tradition and military service. When the
USO was originally created, in a time of war in 1941, it provided
hot coffee, fresh donuts, dances, chaplain services, nurseries,
and data ports for those military members leaving home (often
for the first time) to serve our country. Now more than sixty
years later, the USO still exists as a refuge for soldiers
who are risking their lives to serve.
The USO Ambassadors
are available for a variety of speaking engagements for any
group, including Lion's Clubs, Rotaries, Veteran's Groups,
Church Groups, classrooms, and more! We can provide a program
speaker to discuss the history of the USO, who the USO serves
today, and how we maintain our service with no government
financial support. Our speakers give an inspiring message,
particularly timely today - when our military needs our support
more now than ever before.
